Pierpoint House Nursing Home
This classic, Poritt-built, listed building had, since the 1960's, been used as 12 self-contained flats. In a £250,000 complex conversion it was re-converted into a luxury nursing home.
The conversion involved substantial structural alterations in order to bring back the character of the original property, and was carried out with skill and sympathy to achieve an out-standing end result.
Completed in June 1988, this had been our largest job to date. In respect of planning, technical requirements and size, it has, in many ways, been the most demanding. With no architectural involvement beyond the planning stage, it became a builder/client motivated project that was a credit to both. [back]
